Mallu Magalhaes
Maria Luiza de Arruda Botelho Pereira de Magalhães (born August 29, 1992), known as Mallu Magalhães (pronounced [maˈlu maɡaˈʎɐ̃js]), is a Brazilian singer, songwriter and musician. Mallu first came to prominence through her MySpace page, becoming known for her own songs and those of renowned artists. She found herself gracing the covers of major newspapers such as Folha de S. Paulo, O Estado de S. Paulo and Jornal do Brasil, and was featured in Rolling Stone, Istoé, Época among others. In the first two years of career, she became the subject of countless blogs, packed shows, attracted critical attention, and had more than 4 million hits on her MySpace page. In 2008 she released her first eponymous album and in 2009 she released her second album, also self-titled. In 2013 she formed Banda do Mar, along with her husband Marcelo Camelo, and the Portuguese drummer Fred Ferreira. Their first album was released in August 2014. Mallu has a daughter, Luísa, born December 28, 2015.[1]
Lurdez da Luz
Lourdes da Luz (styled to stage name Lurdez of Light ), is a singer , rapper and songwriter Brazilian . She is a member of the Mamelo Sound System group .
Lurdez was born in São Paulo , mother of one child, started her love for rap in 1994, and towards the end of the 90’s, she joined the hip hop group Mamelo Sound System , as main and secondary vocals. [ 2 ]
She started her solo career in 2009. In 2010 she released her first single, Andei , [ 3 ] to promote her first solo studio recording, the EP Lurdez da Luz (album) . [ 4 ] This track also received a music video, which was nominated for Video Music Brasil 2011 as “Best Music Video”. [ 5 ] Lurdez, still in 2008, recorded a collaboration with the group 3 na Massa , on the track “Sem Fôlego”, for their first studio album . [ 6 ]
